School Sport All students in Years 5–7 play interschool sports. The sports played vary from term to term and from year to year and include cricket, netball, softball, t-ball, tennis, soccer, Tae Kwon Do, futsal and beach volley ball. Students also participate in zone and state competitions. All year 4 students take part in inter house sports. The sports include skill development and competition between the sports houses. The sports played by the year fours could include: soccer, netball, cricket, volleyball, t-ball.
Students in year 4 play modified versions of a variety of interschool sports to prepare them for future involvement. This competition is run and organised as a house competition.
There are three sports houses at the school:
Fernberg — Royal blue
Gregory — Red
Newstead — Gold
Highlights of the sports calendar at Rainworth include the a
nnual cross-country event (junior and senior), a winter interhouse athletics carnival and summer swimming carnivals.
