In 2009, there were a total of 406 children enrolled at Rainworth State School.
 

Enrolment Management Plan

Prep – Year 7  Admissions to Prep – Year 7 are based on the school's enrolment management plan. The plan limits the school's enrolment to current levels and sets out criteria for admission to the school.

All students who live within the school's catchment area are guaranteed enrolment.

If there are any vacancies after these students have been enrolled, then students who meet the following criteria are admitted, in the order listed:

• Siblings of a current Rainworth student (the current student must remain enrolled for the first year in which the sibling attends the school).
• Siblings of former Rainworth students.
• Children of parents (or guardians) who work at the school.
• Out-of-catchment students. These students are placed on a waiting list. Their position on the waiting list is determined by how close their home is to the school.
