The school community takes great pride in the school's picturesque setting.

The grounds are about three hectares in area and feature a dry forest, a rainforest, an amphitheatre and extensive sports facilities. These include an adventure playground, cricket practice nets, a large oval, a basketball court, netball/volleyball court and two tennis courts.
The school's classrooms are a mix of older, traditional-style classrooms and modern relocatables. Every classroom at Rainworth has at least four computers, all linked to a curriculum/student server.
The Library Resource Centre is a focal point within the school and has extensive resources for the use of students, staff and parents.
There are a number of undercover areas provided where children can eat and play.
The school tuckshop provides nutritious meals and snacks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
A large multipurpose building is used for assemblies, dance, drama, visiting performances, outside-school-hours care, special events and other activities.
